What is gold filled?
Gold filled is the treatment of a metal (often based on brass) using a mechanical process to apply a layer of gold alloy of varying titration. The weight of gold alloy corresponds to 1/20 of the total weight of the product, i.e. around 50 to 100 times more than in a gold-plated product.
For the more inquisitive, we explain the differences between gold-filled and gold-plated, so you can choose the material that's right for you.
