These Heishi pink shell rondelles will enable you to create a wide range of DIY costume jewelry in a trendy bohemian or hippie chic spirit.
What are heishi beads?
Heishi rondelles are flat, disc-like beads, the first traces of which were found in the Rio Grande Valley. They can be made of wood, gemstones, synthetics and many other materials.
With these shell beads, we return to the very origin of the Heishi bead, since it means shell in the Keres language, an Amerindian dialect. It's one of the oldest jewelry components in New Mexico!
What can you do with Heishi beads?
Make a message bracelet, for example, by writing an inspirational name or word with alphabet letter beads. A great gift idea for yourself or as a present.
You can also make a multi-rang bracelet, multiplying the turns on your wrist to get the effect you want.
