How to sew a tail button?
- Choose your thread generally in the colors of the garment you want to sew it on. Do not hesitate to double the thread to make it even stronger.
- Take a needle, pass the thread through the eye (not the cat), it must hang as much on one side as on the other. Make a knot at the end of the thread.
- Position the button on the fabric, making sure it is aligned with the buttonhole. Stitch the needle through the fabric from right side to left side.
- Pass the needle from right to left through the ring. Stitch into the fabric under the ring on the left and out on the right and vice versa.
- Once the button is securely attached, press the wrong side of your fabric and do several overlapping stitches to stop the thread.
