DIY lampshade with wool

Start by tying a tight knot on the top round of your lampshade, leaving three or four centimetres of wool on one side. Press the end of the wool thread against the round. Working without cutting the thread, pass the ball of yarn under the metal round at the bottom of the carcass, wrapping it twice around the bar before moving up. This time, pass behind the top bar and wrap twice as you did at the bottom, then continue. You should have a wool thread passing in front of you and then another thread passing behind it. Always follow this pattern.

Finish with your first color, securing the wool with a knot at the top as for the beginning, then leave 3 cm of wool plated against the structure to be covered by the next color. You can cut lengths of yarn so you don't have to pass the whole ball through the frame, and vary color widths by taking different lengths of yarn.

Completely cover the lampshade, then finish by hiding the last wire by passing it under others inside the lamp.

Customize your lamp by adding three imitation silk ivory pompons. Tie the pom-poms together by tying knots in their loops. Secure them to the top of the structure with another knot.
