Dried flowers are the new trend at the end of the year, and we're seeing them everywhere, in embroidery, home decor and even weaving! Discover in this simple DIY tutorial how to make a wall weave with coarse wool and dried flowers! You're bound to fall for this easy-to-make country-style weave! It'll take you just a few minutes, and the wow effect is guaranteed! You'll find a whole host of tutorials using dried flowers: a wall decoration, a brooch, a barrette comb or even a paperweight. Have fun redecorating your home with dried flowers!
Step 1:
Cut 10 50-cm pieces from the coarse wool, fold them in half, then tie a lark's head knot on the wand.
Step 2:
Place 5 strands of golden trapilho thread on the wand, still tying a lark's head knot.
Step 3:
Tie your bouquet of dried flowers with very fine thread, then place the stems in the beginning knot, making sure to lock them in place.
Step 4:
Add dried flower stems by stitching them into the wool.
Your weaving is finished! Now all you have to do is hang it in your home!
