Discover in this tutorial how to make a pendant set + earrings with glass beads. Accessible to beginners as well as to the most experienced bead makers, you will learn how to weave jewels with PieDuo and Quadbow beads. THE VEGA PENDANT
Take about 1m of wire. Pass through the 3rd hole from the right of a QuadBow (QB) (round towards you), and through the left hole of a PieDuo (PD) (round towards you).
Thread 5 Rocks of 15 (r15), go back down into the PD, right hole, then into the 2nd hole of the QB.
Small tipyou will have to go through the r15s again, so if you feel resistance when putting on one r15, take another one (some have slightly smaller holes).
Thread 1 r11, 1 4 mm round, 1 r11, then repeat steps 1 and 2 (always round towards you).
Repeat steps 1 to 3 to get 5 QBs. Attention, remember to insert your ring with the r15 when you are on a point and in this case, put 7 r15 instead of 5
When you have threaded your 5th QB and PB and have come back down, thread 1r11, 1 round of 4 mm, 1 r11 and then pull your wire back up into the starting QB and PB. Personally, I'm not a knotter, so I don't make knots, but you can make one if you wish before going back up the QB and PB.
Iron your wire in the r15s, lower your wire back into the PB then the QB (2nd hole), iron in the r11, the 4 mm round and the r11.
Thread 1 r11 and then back into the 4 mm round, r11 group.
Repeat step 7 to go all the way around.
You get this (your thread comes out of the 1st r11 after the round)
Pull your wire up into the 3rd hole of the QB, then down into the 4th hole of the QB.
Thread 1 r15, then go back to the first hole of the next QB.
Thread 2 r11, 1 round of 4 mm, 2 r11, then go back to the 4th hole of the next QB, go back to the r15 and go back to the 1st hole of the next QB (form a loop).
Go back to the right hole of the PB, go back to the r15, go back down to the left hole of the PB, then go to the 4th hole of the QB.
Repeat steps 10 to 12 to go all the way around the pendant.
Iron in the 2 r11, the 4 mm round, and the 1st r11
Thread 1 r11, a 3 mm veneer, and then iron in the r15 of the tip.
Thread 1 facet of 3 mm, 1 r11, then iron in the 2nd r11, the 4 mm round and the 1st r11.
Repeat steps 15 and 16 to go all the way around the pendant.
VEGA EARRINGS
Take about 60 cm of thread. Pass through the 3rd hole from the right of a QuadBow (QB) (round towards you), and through the left hole of a PieDuo (PD) (round towards you).
Thread 7 Rocks of 15 (r15) and the ear hook, go back down into the PD, right hole, then into the 2nd hole of the QB.
Thread 1 r11, 1 4 mm round, 1 r11, then thread 1 QB (rounded off towards you, 3rd hole)
Thread 1 PB (left hole, rounded towards you), then 5 r15.
Bring your wire down through the right hole of the PB, then into the2nd hole of the QB.
Repeat steps 20 to 22 to get 3 QBs.
When you have threaded your 3rd QB and PB and lower your wire, thread 1r11, 1 round of 4 mm, 1 r11 and then raise your wire in the starting QB and PB.
Iron your wire in the 7 r15 of the tip, lower your wire in the PB then the QB (1st hole).
Thread 1 r15, 1 facet, 1 r15 and then move on to the4th hole of the next QB.
Go back into the PB above, into the r15, then down through the other hole of the PB, and into the 1st hole of the QB
Repeat steps 26 and 27, twice to go around.
