How to embroider a bag?
If you want to customize your bags or baskets, you've come to the right place. In this easy DIY embroidery tutorial, we'll show you how to embroider a palm leaf with raffia thread. For this beginner's tutorial, you don't need much material, just 2 colors of synthetic raffia and an embroidery needle.

Step 1:
Freehand or use a template to draw your palm leaf on the bag.

Step 2:
Start your raffia embroidery at the bottom of the tail with a few backstitches.


Step 3:
Once you've reached the base of your leaf, change thread to make the foliage. To embroider, start from the outside of the leaf towards the inside. (From the widest to the narrowest).


Step 4:
Your foliage is finished.

Step 5:
For the finishing touches, make a few stitches with the color of the stem in the heart of the leaf.

Your round straw bag is now complete!
