Have you ever heard of wax? It's a wax-coated fabric that's strong, thick and colorful. It's everywhere... from fashion designers, to home decor, to our favorite clothing boutiques... it's the trend fabric of the moment!
At Perles & Co, we suggest you use this fabric to make a wax necklace with shells, perfect for this summer. Your wax fabric necklace is ready! All you have to do is put on your favorite tunic or summer dress. If you love wax, we also suggest you make a pair of wax earrings.

Cut 3 rectangles, with 2 measuring 5.5 cm wide by 45 cm long and one measuring 25 cm long by 5.5 cm wide.
Fold each rectangle widthwise into 2. Stitch at 1 cm from the edge, turning the tube over with a safety pin.
Pass the rope through the tube using the safety pin.
Glue the single ends to the short cord and the double ends to the longer 2.
Bring the 3 cords together, stitch in the center with a needle and cross the 3 cords several times. Finish by attaching a shell to the center.
Wrap the top of the shell with thread, then pass a seed through it and sew it to the bottom bead, crossing over the 2 on top. Make 5.
Connect the ferrules to the clasp with open rings.
