How to make flower curls with beads?

These pearl flower earrings are made with 11/0 Miyuki seed beads and small 2 mm Tourmaline beads. I started with a mix of colors, then finally chose one color from the Miyuki bead mix and one color from the different Tourmaline colors, but you're free to choose the colors you'd like to use. For this weaving, I tried 0.20 mm Tortue transparent thread. This thread works well for this project, but you can also use the weaving thread you normally use, such as fireline 0.10 mm, for example. However, this thread needs to be very fine, as the hole in the Tourmaline beads is 0.5 mm, so smaller than the Miyuki seed beads.

Gold flower beads with cabochons have several holes, making them ideal for weaving. What's more, they're double-sided, so they look good on both sides - perfect for beaded earrings. The weaving technique used isn't very complicated, but by combining beads of different shapes and colors, you get a very elaborate piece of jewelry.
