How to make freshwater pearl rings?

This Miyukifreshwater pearl and seed be ad bracelet, size 11/0, will accompany you at all your events this summer and for summers to come. The metal parts are made of stainless steel. As the name suggests, this metal does not oxidize. Freshwater pearls are also a natural material that stands the test of time. As for the seed beads, they are coated with an industrial varnish applied by the manufacturer and indicated by the word "duracoat". What's more, it's chic, wearable and will enhance any outfit. The wire can be weakened by high temperatures and can bend due to improper storage, so store your bracelet away from the sun and with care, on a bracelet rack for example. You'll find variations of these in the hardware list. You can also use fireline wire if you have some in stock. Thread through all the beads to solidify your creation.

The pearl links are made using a very simple pearl weave, accessible to beginners in costume jewelry design. Discover how to make this bracelet on video, and feel free to personalize it with other colors of seed beads. Other beading tutorials might be just the thing if you want to wear this bracelet with other bracelets. Here are a few examples:

NB: In the video, it is indicated that freshwater pearls are sold in bags of 20 pearls, but in fact they are sold in bags of 8 pearls, so you need to buy 5 bags of pearls, i.e. 40 pearls.

Tutorial steps

Step 1

Start by passing a ring through the spacer, taking care to close the ring properly. The two parts of the ring should be facing each other and rubbing against each other.

Step 2

Remove the plastic part that prevents the thread from unwinding, and cut 50 cm of thread. Pass the thread through the ring and string four freshwater pearls on one side and three on the other. Then thread through the fourth bead on one side, crossing the other end of the thread inside. The two threads cross inside this bead. Try to get the same length of thread on both sides. Tighten to form a loop.

Step 3

Next, thread five beads on one side and six on the other. Cross the threads in the sixth bead to form a new loop. Then, string two seed beads on one side and three on the other, crossing the threads in the third bead. Thread five seed beads on each side, then thread a freshwater bead, and cross the two threads in the freshwater bead.

Step 4

String two freshwater pearls on one side and three on the other, and cross the thread in the third freshwater pearl. Now repeat the pearl stringing of seed beads and the last ring of freshwater pearls, repeating steps 3 and 4.

Step 5

For a bracelet suitable for a 15 cm wrist, thread five seed pearls on each wire, then a freshwater pearl into which you will cross the wires. If you need to lengthen the bracelet, repeat steps 3 and 4 and finish on a single freshwater pearl at the link to the whole ring of freshwater pearls.

Step 6

String five seed beads on each side, with the extension chain adjusted to the right size, and tie a double surgeon's knot. Apply glue to the knot. Pass the wire end through the beads next to it and slide the knot through the bead to hide it and glue it in the bead. Pass the wire ends back through several beads and cut them.

Step 7

Do the same on the other side of the bracelet and, at the end, add the clasp directly without the open ring. Glue the knot into the closed ring of the clasp.
