Crochet spiral bracelet with seed beads 11

Before you start

You'll need to learn the basics of crochet, such as cast-on (= m.l.), cast-off (= m.c.) and tight (= m.s.)stitches.

This tutorial will enable you to make an 18 cm bracelet with a circumference of 8 beads and consisting of 8 repeating rows.

How do I calculate the number of beads to string?

A simple calculation will tell us how many centimetres of beads we need to string: 18 cm x 8 = 144 cm. To be on the safe side, we add a further 30 cm of beads, i.e. approx. 175 cm of beads.

Stringing order

1st strand: 8A

2nd strand: 3B, 1A, 3C, 1A

3rd strand: 1B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 3C, 1A

4th row: 3B, 1A, 3C, 1A

5th row: 8A

6th row: 3B, 1A, 3C, 1A

7th row: 3B, 1A, 1C, 1A, 1C, 1A

8th row: 3B, 1A, 3C, 1A

Thread 175 cm of beads onto your thread without cutting it. Be meticulous when threading - mistakes can happen! We recommend that you work as quietly as possible.

Make a loop on the hook. Then crochet the first loop without beads.

For the next 8 open stitches, crochet with a bead (note: number of beads + 1 ml = 9 ml total in this tutorial).

To close the round, you need to make a cast-on stitch in the first stitch in the air that has no beads.

And that's it! You've successfully completed your first row!

For the next and all other turns, stitch into the bead, which should lie to the right of your hook, with your crochet thread passing over it. Move the bead forward to make the cast-on stitch.

(1 c.m. = 1 bead placed).

The first few rows can be tricky, but don't be discouraged! Here's a tip from the designer:

at the beginning of the work, I use a pick to keep the work round and to prick the right bead. It's very handy for putting the work back in place. If for any reason you have to interrupt your work, make sure that the row is complete. This will avoid many mistakes (especially for novices) and help you find your way around when you resume your work.

When you've reached the desired bracelet length, make a tight knit without any beads. All that's left is to glue the 2 ends of the bracelet into the end cap, and you're done! Leave the glue to dry for a few hours before wearing your bracelet.
