3D Christmas Stars in peyote weave with Miyuki beads

Before starting your weave, it is important to understand that in order to make the final star, it is necessary to make 5 distinct squares that will be assembled together.

So you will need to weave 2 x square n°1, 2 x square n°2 and 1x square n°3.

Tip: You can use this diagram to make a second version of this star.
Attention!It is necessary to fold the squares in the opposite direction of the version 1 (below presented), and in the realization of the squares n°2 it is necessary to place the 2 corner beads of the last row in the opposite corners.

To begin weaving each square, start by weaving the beads at the top of each triangle that makes up the square.
On the diagram, the pink beads correspond to the white beads.

In the case of square 1, you must therefore thread 4 blue beads, close your circle with a double knot and continue to work in peyote following the lines of the diagram. Here is what you must obtain.

Continue weaving and get this. You start to see the 4 triangles forming the square.

You have to perform the square n°1 twice and obtain this result.

Now weave the square n°2 twice. You should get this result

Finally, weave a single No. 3 square. Here is the result you must obtain.

All you have to do is put the squares together.

Start by folding the squares (pay attention to the meaning). Connect a square n°1 to a square n°2. Continue by assembling the second square n°1 in a row, then the last square n°2. Finally finish with square no. 3.

You can give volume to your star by filling it with padding or scraps of fabric.

All you have to do is insert a ring in the pearl at the top of one of the branches and hang a ribbon, string or whatever you like on it.
