Sculpey liquid clay is ideal for a variety of techniques:
- Transferring images, color or black and white photocopies and drawings.
- Creating elements that remain flexible once fired. Creating elements, which once fired, remain flexible.
- Possibility to fill in the hollows of a textured polymer clay with this liquid with a stamp or a plate.
This liquid can be colored with alcohol inks, dry pastels, a small amount of acrylic paint or stained glass paint.
Perfect for use with silicone molds. Firing time is 20 minutes, the liquid may turn yellow if you exceed this time or if you do several firings.
To obtain a real transparency, you must fire at 150 degrees, below this temperature, this liquid polymer will remain semi-opaque.
How to use this liquid polymer ?
For the decal:
- Spread a thin layer of Liquid Sculpey on the image.
- Bake according to the instructions.
- Remove from the oven and let soak in water for 5 minutes.
- Rub lightly to remove paper with finger.
To thin:
- AddSculpey softener until desired consistency is reached.
If you are using a silicone mold, heat the mold for 15 minutes at 130°C and then pour the Sculpey Liquid into the mold and bake at 130°C for 15 minutes.
