History of Kunzite

Discovered relatively recently, kunzite is not associated with any ancient legends or myths. It was in 1902, in California, that American gemologist George Frederick Kunz, working for Tiffany & Co., discovered this gemstone. It was named in his honor by Professor Charles Baskerville, thus paying tribute to the man who introduced it to the world.
