What is frivolity?
Frivolity (tatting) is a needle lace technique that involves tying a series of knots with one or more shuttles.
There are three techniques: needle frivolity, crochet frivolity and navette frivolity. The materials you'll need for frivolity are simple: shuttles, thread and hooks.
How do you use polyester thread?
Make these lace earrings, for example, or these original earrings with stretched wires, or a crochet pendant that you hang on your favorite chain.
Use your yarn to make a spiral crochet necklace with Miyuki beads and a big, trendy T-clasp.
You can also make a Mexican-inspired wall hanging, using our tutorial as inspiration.
If you like needlework? Make a doily and hang it on a hoop to create a dream-catcher.
