How do I engrave jewelry with ImpressArt equipment? For example, how do you engrave a medal? You'll need :
- a hammer
- a punch
- a tapping block
- a medal
1. Place your medal on the pile (the tapping block).
2. Determine where you want to engrave. Use the adhesive tape to "fix" your medal, but also to guide you when punching.
3. Place your punch vertically, then tap it with a hammer. A sharp, clean blow is all it takes to mark your metal.
4. Finish your engraving by applyingacrylic ink to blacken your design. Remove excess ink with a soft cloth.
In just a few minutes, you'll have a beautiful medal! Easy to use, creating personalized jewelry with a first name, date, texture or motif will be child's play.
However, this metal engraving technique does require a little practice, so we recommend that you get some practice before you start.
