It is not a conventional braid or a nylon, it is a perfectly smooth fused braid.
In Europe, the announced resistances are tested without knots (direct tension). As soon as you make a node on this wire,
you decrease the initial resistance and the node is a potential breaking point.
The US LBS have no resistance value, they are correspondence of American sizes.
