What is a wax melt?
The candle melt is like a scented candle but without a wick. To use it, you need an unscented tealight and a scent burner. You place the scented pebble on top of the burner and the tealight candle at the bottom of the diffuser. Light the candle and the fragrance will diffuse in your home.
Once the candle is extinguished, the fondant will harden and stop diffusing its fragrance. To use it again, simply relight the tealight.
Want to change fragrance? Once your wax fondant has solidified, you can remove it by gently pressing on the sides. Simply store it away for future use and replace it with a new scent pebble.
How to make candle melts?
- Melt your rapeseed wax in a double boiler. Add the dye and mix.
- Off the heat, add the fragrance you want. Mix again.
- Pour the mixture into the mold.
- Leave to cool. Once the fondant has hardened, you can use it.
If you've used your entire kit, don't put it away! Continue creating scented fondant with our waxes, candle scents or dyes.
