This complete kit, created in collaboration with Invincible Été, a unique French cyanotype creator, will introduce you to cyanotype and enable you to produce magnificent monochrome photographs on paper.
Cyanotype is a process invented in 19th-century England to create Prussian blue photographic prints... without a camera. This quick and easy technique is a photographic printing technique that reacts with UV rays. It has mainly been used in botany.
A blank page, a little water, a little sunlight, a light-sensitive solution and some plants (not supplied) - these are the ingredients you'll need to make a cyanotype.
How to make a cyanotype?
1 - Add water to each bottle to prepare solution A and solution B. Shake well to dissolve the powder.
2 - Mix solution A and solution B in equal volumes.
3 - Using the brush, cover the paper with an even layer of sensitizer and allow to air dry in the dark.
4 - Once dry, place an object on the prepared base and expose to the sun for a few minutes.
5 - After washing with water, the area exposed to the sun's rays turns blue and the area under the object remains white.
