This fastener consists of two strong strips of fabric with mechanical teeth set into them. It is non-separable, as the two strips are connected at the base by a plastic stop.
The passage of a shuttle called a slider allows the teeth to be engaged or separated depending on whether you want to open or close. This zip has been dyed the same colour as the rest of the zip for more elegance.
