These Gold Filledcrimp bead covers are essential for making costume jewelry, such as bracelets or necklaces.
These jewelry primers look like hollow beads, almost entirely cut in half. In the twinkling of an eye, they'll give your DIY creations a neat, professional look.
What is the purpose of a crimp cover?
As its name suggests, a crimp beadl cover is used to hide crimp beads and unsightly knots in your costume jewelry settings.
To close them, we recommend the use of flat nylon-tipped pliers to avoid damaging the diamond-coated part.
How to use a crimp cover?
Place the crimp cover over the crimp bead, and close it with special pliers or crimp bead pliers. Once folded, it perfectly encloses the bead to be crushed and looks just like any other metal bead.

What is gold filled?
Gold filling is the treatment of a metal (often brass) using a mechanical process to apply a layer of gold alloy of varying titration. The weight of gold alloy corresponds to 1/20 of the total weight of the product, i.e. around 50 to 100 times more than in a gold-plated product.
For the more inquisitive, we explain the differences between gold-filled and gold-plated so you can choose the material that's right for you.
Much more resistant than conventional gold plating, a gold-filled product will oxidize much more slowly.
If you want to slow down the oxidation process even further, you should handle these components with gloves and avoid contact with perfumes, skin oils and lotions. You should also store them in a dry, temperate place.
The gold used in the manufacture of this product is recycled gold.
