How do I shape my ring?
There are two techniques for shaping your bracelet:
- Use a forging triboulet to easily bend the brass base into the shape of a ring.
- Use pliers to bend the metal. As with the ImpressArt tool, you can create curves without scratching or marking surfaces.
You can texture the metal to give beautiful effects or create simple patterns on your blank.
Also consider personalizing your ring before bending it using the dremel engraver or jewelry engraving pen. Be careful not to use steel punches, which are used on304 and 308 stainless steel. They are also compatible with other metals with a Rockwell hardness of 66 HRC. They should not be used with harder steels such as 316L (between 70 and 90 HRC).
This metal engraving technique does require a little practice, so we recommend that you practice on a support before getting started.
