This lens-shaped felt wheel is ideal for polishing your precious metal parts, such as silver, and non-precious metalparts, such as stainless steel or brass.
This polishing wheel features a rounded head in the shape of a slightly convex lens or disc. This convex shape makes it ideal for polishing the curved, irregular surfaces of your metal parts and the delicate details of jewelry. What's more, felt is a soft, absorbent and non-abrasive material, ideal for polishing without damaging metals.
It removes imperfections, light scratches and restores shine.
How to polish jewelry
1. First prepare the surface to be polished: deburr and emery your jewelry with abrasive brushes or emery paper.
2. Then show this polishing brush on the Dremel®. To do this, use the universal chuck, which enables you to change accessories quickly and easily on your multi-purpose tool.
3. Apply the polishing paste gradually, so as not to saturate the bristles for metal creations.
4. Use a rigid support for polishing chains (piece of wood, thin board...).
To prolong the life of your brushes, remember to clean them regularly to remove polishing paste residues, and keep them in a clean, dry place.
Always wear a mask and protective goggles before using the polishing attachment.
Also use protective leather finger cots to protect against dirt and overheating. When you polish, the parts heat up.
