The designer Charlotte Souchet offers a step-by-step tutorial to make a pineapple pin! We already love it!
To make this brooch you will need two different fabrics, a glittery transfer sheet of the embroidery felt, special fabric glue, a chisel and a broach holder.
Designer's tip : Use new scissors or scissors that were only used for sewing, otherwise you will have trouble cutting your fabric.
STEP 1: The drawing
To start, draw the shape of a pineapple on the felt.

STEP 2: Cutting
Then cut out the shape of a pineapple as well as squares of fabric ( Be careful, do not cut too much the fabric to avoid spoiling too much), and choose the area of ??fabric that you like the most before cutting it!

STEP 3: Ironing
For the cleanest possible rendering, fold the edges of the fabrics then iron them so that the folds are well marked!
Tip : Do not hesitate to turn the fabrics to define the placement that suits you best to have your custom pin to your liking.

STEP 4: The collage
You can now start to glue the fabrics one by one, put the glue on the entire area of ??your first fabric, the base of the pineapple and then apply the fabric on the front. Turn over the felt and press firmly to glue the fabric.
Put glue on the sides and fold down the sides of the fabric (do not hesitate to cut the fabric beyond, but be careful do not cut too short for the fabric sticks well!).
Flip the felt, and press again!

Now cut the pineapple foliage on the glittery paper, then glue it, also cut a small triangle (keep it aside).

Glue the small triangle of fabric that you have previously ironed.

You can now glue the small triangle of glittery paper.

STEP 5: Finishing
Your brooch is soon finished, but as you can see on the wrong side, the fabrics are not clean and we still see some felt. To hide this cut the pineapple shape into a thick paper, then paste it on your backside. You can now paste your pin stand.

Your Pineapple pin is finished! We love to see your creations so do not hesitate to send us your photos on our Facebook page or to tag us on Instagram with #PerlesandCo.
