Whether you are a beader or a seamstress, you must have needles. Maybe even a lot of them! When you start to accumulate several kinds of needles, of different sizes and packed in different packages, it is sometimes difficult not to get lost. Especially when some packagings are simply pieces of folded paper with a dozen needles inside. Here is a small storage tool, which we hope you will find useful. It looks like a small padded notebook with felt pages. Prick the needles into the felt pages and file them.
Remember to embroider or mark the size of the needles with permanent felt. For example, write or embroider 12 in the corner of one of the felt pages to store your size 12 needles. Alternatively, you can write the reference and size on a piece of paper and staple it to the page.
This needle holder will also be very handy to carry your needles without them pricking you or twisting during transport thanks to the padded surface. You can choose to put a small carabiner or not to hang the needle holder on a kit or inside a bag.
To complete this tutorial you will need to prepare :
The patterned fabric is made of viscose, so it is sensitive to heat. Place the iron-on sticker on the back with a wet tab between the fabric and the iron. A wet tab is a moistened cloth that will prevent the fabric from melting in the heat.
You can also choose to use cotton or thicker linen fabric instead of viscose, which will not need to be reinforced with iron-on.
