How to make XXL jewelry?

Many of you have answered us about the colors you would like to wear this fall!
Blue was one of them!
The XXL is fashionable and adoring minimalism, I offer here a tutorial of earrings XXL bi-materials .

For this you will need some material:

Now that you have all the materials you need to create this pair of bi-material XXL earrings , we can start.

  • Step 1

- Choose the fall of leather that suits you!
I chose a leather thick enough so that the earring has some hold, but it would work just as well with a leather finer.

- Decide on the size of your earrings!
I chose here a diameter of 5 cm or a radius of 2.5 cm .
It's up to you to choose if you prefer to use a compass or a cookie cutter of the chosen size (both work very well).

  • 2nd step

Trace your 2 circles with a pencil on the back of your leather.

  • Step 3

Carefully cut out your leather slices.
With chisel or cutter.
The chisel seems to be the best option it cuts the leather more clearly.

  • Step 4

Then we go to the second material, aluminum!
Again you can modulate the sizes of each component of your earring.
Here I chose to cut 2 times 8 cm of my flat aluminum wire .
A simple cutting plier will allow you to cut your thread.

  • Step 5

Once your aluminum wire is cut, you will fold it in half.
For this make a small mark at 4 cm and fold !
Attention the flat aluminum wire is very flexible I advise you to use angles and flat objects as the ruler to press on it.

  • Step 6

Thread your stud on your aluminum wire through the ring.

  • Step 7

To be sure that your leather does not move, I advise you to add a tip of glue .
Be careful to put a little so that it does not overflow on the leather.

  • Step 8

Place your flat aluminum wire in the center of your circle and press it with your ruler to make the glue stick.
