Thanks to Audrey for sharing her special back-to-school DIY tutorial.

Step 1:
Unicorn creation
Using white clay, create a thick sausage to form the body, then give it a triangular shape to refine the upper part of the body. To make the head, use twice as much clay (the head should be bigger than the body). Same working principle (Boudin then triangle shape). Make 2 small triangles to form the ears. Work the center of the ear with the dooting tool. Then make 4 poudins for the legs (2 thick for each lower leg, 2 thin for the upper legs).

Step 2:
Use the color of your choice (turquoise) to form 4 small circles. These will be positioned under each leg. Creating the horn: form 2 thin strands and place them side by side. Then turn them gently until you obtain the horn. Refine the tip into a cone shape. Choose the desired height and cut off the excess. Creating the eyes: Form 2 black circles, position them on the face, and add a white dot of acrylic paint to give it an expression. To create the nose, 2 small, very fine lines will do.

Step 3:
Assemble the pieces to form the unicorn. A small drop of liquid Fimo will hold each body part. Add the tail (choose 3 colors). Same principle as for the horn. Add a few colored strands, of varying length, under the horn.

Step 4:
Create the rainbow cloud.
Use white clay to shape the cloud. Use a cookie cutter.

Step 5:
Form the eyes and mouth. 2 black circles for the eyes, with small white dots on each eye. And a very thin pudding for the mouth.
Take 5 colors of your choice to form the rainbow. Position them next to each other. Cut each end to give them a regular shape.

Step 6:
Creating the stars. Use a cookie cutter. Choose 2 colors.

Step 7:
Preview the result.
Before baking your work, position your creations on the notebook, to give you an idea of the result. Bake your creations in a 110° oven for 30 minutes.

Step 8:
Once your creations are baked and cooled, varnish them. Varnish adds shine and strengthens the creations over time.
Then glue them to the notebook. (Strong glue, glue gun).
Your FIMO figurines are now finished.

We love to see your creations, so don't hesitate to send us photos of your FIMO figurines on our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram with #perlesandco!
