How to customize your shoes with fabric? Customize your summer sandals with trendy fabrics - the choice is difficult, but we've opted for wax. The colorful fabric is edged with a gold bias, but you can use other colors if you want a more contrasting look. There's also a wide choice of embroidered braids and long or ball pompons for customization.
Step 1
You only need a 10 cm width to customize your shoes. Cut 2 strips 16 cm long.

Step 2
Coat the top of your sandals evenly with fabric glue - there should be no gaps or build-up. Position your fabric on the glue, passing a flat object over the entire surface, such as a thin, flat ruler. Remember to press on the edges and tuck the fabric into the folds. Wait an hour, then use a scalpel to cut away any fabric protruding from the mules.

Step 3
Cut a 14 cm length from the bias and another 19 cm. Recut these 2 parts in the middle to obtain 4 lengths, 2 for the front and 2 for the back.

Step 4
Coat the bias strips with glue, then press them onto the edge of your sandal, holding the bias fold. Trim the strips, allow to dry and then, as in the previous step, cut off the remaining ends with a cutter.

Step 5
The bias tape on the front and back of the sandal will stop the wax fabric fraying and enhance its appearance.

Step 6
Take 2 iron-on patterns and place each in the center of the fabric strip. Glue them together using an iron, protecting the pattern with another piece of fabric.
