
Step 1
Print and cut out your toucan template. Prepare your portions of clay, using 3 times as much black clay as colored.
Step 2
Make plates with each color, cutting the black one in 2. Place your template segments on their respective colors.
Step 3
Place all your shapes on the black plate. Make a tiny ball with blue clay, then a smaller one with black. Crush the blue ball with your blade and place the black ball on top.
Place your he on the toucan, adding a little black clay to the tip of the beak. Place some baking paper on the toucan, making small circles with your rolling pin to erase the clay joints.
Step 4
Cut the edges of your toucan with the blade. Press gently with your finger on the edges to break up the corners.
Bake at 120 degrees for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Varnish your toucan to revive the colors and protect it.
Step 6
Glue the brooch to the back of your toucan.
