Basket customisation mirrors sequins pompons

Step 1:
Trace the following patterns in 5 copies for the square and the cross, and in 10 copies for the triangle, and cut them out.

Step 2:
Measure with a tape measure. 12 cm from the bottom of the basket 's upper rim (see photo), mark with a pencil. Repeat several times around the basket.

Step 3:
Tape the templates to the bag. Refer to the positioning diagram to place them around the bag once, then adjust their position. Don't place the pattern in the middle of the main face of the bag, to leave room for the metal ornament.

Step 4:
Trace the outline of the templates on the bag with a pencil.

Step 5:
Remove the templates and retrace any unmarked areas with pencil. Paint the inside of the patterns with Izink paint, using a flat brush size 4 to 6. Wait 3 hours before applying a second coat of paint, then wait another 3 hours. Then apply 1 coat of varnish over the paint.

Step 6:
Enlarge the hole in the pom-poms to accommodate a ring, and close the ring over one of the metal ornament slots. Do the same for the other 6 pom-poms.

Step 7:
Take a beige thread, thread it onto a needle, double it and tie a double knot at the end. From inside the bag, thread through the gap in the weave where you want to secure the ornament with the pom-poms, then thread back through the bag and between the two threads and the knot to secure the thread.

Step 8:
Iron between the gaps to sew a mirrored sequin, then sew the ornament with tassels in the same place. Tie a knot with the threads on the inside of the bag.

Step 9 :
Sew the pompom braid in the same way all around the edge.

Step 10:
Sew blue pom-poms onto the pom-pom ribbon.

Step 11:
Decorate the bag with sequins and pompons. You can cut the pompons from the remaining ribbon and sew them onto the bag separately.
