Do you know what pyrography is? Pyrography is the art of engraving drawings, shapes and words on a wooden support. It's an age-old technique that can be used for creative hobbies. It allows you to customize your wooden objects in an original way.
Here, we suggest you create an ethnic-style necklace with wooden spacers engraved using a pyrograver.
Perhaps you're wondering how to use a pyrograver? Don't panic! Read our tips and tricks on our technical data sheet, how to pyrograve wood?

Step 1
Lightly sand the surface of your chevron with 400-grit sandpaper.

Step 2
Choose a fine tip to make precise lines. Screw it onto the pyrograver, then plug it in to turn it on. You can use an iron ruler to divide your drawing area. Try to follow the natural lines of the wood as you draw, turning the chevron as you go.

Step 3
Change tips to burnish a larger area with a bisauté tip.

Step 4
You can tint your chevron with a little ink, or use acrylic paint.

Step 5
Make a second chevron with a pyrographed design. Use a hand drill to make 2 holes at the bottom of your chevron.

Step 6
Take 6 large rings and pass them through the holes in the 2 rafters. To join the 2 pieces, pass 2 smaller rings between the large rings. Cut 70 cm of chain, and attach a small ring to the end of the last links. This will act as a link to the large rings on the first rafter.
