Using word processing or image editing software, write the text you wish to embroider (in this case, the word "Yes"). Set it to the desired size and apply vertical symmetry. Once you've got it right, print the text.
Have you heard of hoop art ? These are embroidery creations made on an embroidery drum. It's a trendy creative practice that's perfect for decorating our interiors!
Raphaëlle, from the blog Une fille hibou, suggests using embroidery drums and fabric to embroider motivating and inspiring words. These drums can then be transformed into paintings to hang on your studio walls... the ideal decorative object to boost your creativity!
In other words, this is a project for all creative souls!
Bonus tip: this step-by-step guide will teach you how to embroider letters.

Using word processing or image editing software, write the text you wish to embroider (in this case, the word "Yes"). Set it to the desired size and apply vertical symmetry. Once you've got it right, print the text.
This is an optional step that can only be carried out if you wish to finish the embroidery frame with a felt sheet.
To do this, unscrew the embroidery frame. Using the larger hoop, trace the outline onto the felt sheet, which you then cut out.
Insert the fabric between the two parts that make up the frame, pull the fabric taut and tighten.
Take the printed text and place the frame on its reverse side.
Outline the text on the reverse side of your fabric. You can also color between the outlines to make the text stand out on the front of the fabric.
Cut a length of thread about 1.40 m long and fold it in 2. Tie a knot at one end and insert the needle at the other.
Start embroidering on the reverse side of the frame so that the knot you made in the previous step is on the reverse side of the frame.
Embroider in horizontal lines to connect the outlines of your letters.
If you've chosen a rounded pattern, you'll find yourself having to "improvise" at times, as you won't be able to make horizontal lines. My trick is to create an angle in the thread and then fill it with slightly slanted lines (see photos below).
Cut the fabric about 1.5 cm around the frame and glue it to the inside of the frame on its reverse side.
(Optional step)
If you wish to finish the embroidery frame with a felt sheet, glue the felt sheet to the reverse side of the frame (with the round previously cut in step 1).
During the drying time, you can use tweezers to ensure maximum adhesion of the felt.
Your drum is finished and ready to be placed on a piece of furniture or hung on a wall. It's up to you to imagine the words that inspire you and choose the fabrics you like.
