PébéoSetacolor matte-satin finish is an acrylic paint specially designed for leather and imitation leather.
The colors in this acrylic paint range are ultra-resistant, full-coverage and luminous. They are miscible with each other and offer the possibility of creating a wider palette and gradient tones.
The colors can be applied with a brush, or airbrushed using the thinning auxiliary (mixture of 1 thinner + 1 color). The thinner dilutes, liquefies and lightens the colors without altering their properties, unlike diluting with water.
Depending on the type of leather or imitation leather, colors can have a more or less matte-satin finish. To obtain the desired, long-lasting finish, we recommend using matte-satin or glossvarnish, or a mixture of the 2, to protect your creation from scratches, rubbing, wear and water.
How do I use setacolor textile paint?
- Prepare and degrease the surface with degreaser-preparer, using absorbent paper or a cloth. This helps colors adhere better.
- Apply thin, even coats for a uniform finish. The paint leaves no streaks. Colors are opaque in a maximum of 3 thin coats.
- Allow to dry for at least 15 minutes between coats to avoid re-diluting the lower coat (possibility of speeding up drying with a hairdryer).
