These Aari hooks are traditionally used in India to make Resham and Zari embroidery with silk thread. The iron handle is covered with a thread for a better grip.
Work with Aari hooks is faster because the thread is not cut (directly used from the spool). There is no need to cut a new thread or tie a knot every time.
Aari hooks can embroider with beads and sequins.
