Prometheus Jeweller's Light Yellow Bronze clay makes it easy to create all types of pieces or sculptures.
The advantage of this "jeweller's" clay is that you'll get a light gold effect on your creations.
The clay can be spread, rolled, sculpted, incised, carved...
During firing, the binder burns off, leaving behind a solid piece of pure Light Yellow bronze. You can create jewelry, jewelry components or customized tools.
How do I fire Prometheus Jeweller's Light Yellow Bronze clay?
- Place the dried piece(s) in an oven preheated to 500°C.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the grid, place it on a heat-resistant surface and leave to cool.
- Place approximately 3 cm of activated charcoal in a steel container. Place the pieces, spacing them at least 1.5 cm apart, and finish filling the container with activated charcoal.
- Put on the lid and place in the preheated oven at 800°C.
- Let the oven rise again to the target temperature and cook for 2 hours.
- Once baking is complete, leave to cool in the oven, or remove it, place it on a heat-resistant surface and allow it to cool before picking up your parts.
