The new Prometheus Bronze clay makes it easy to create all types of pieces and sculptures.
The clay can be spread, rolled, sculpted, incised, carved...
During firing, the binder burns off, leaving behind a solid piece of pure bronze. You can create jewelry, jewelry components or customized tools.
The clay must be fired in a two-step process, at different temperatures:
- Place the dry piece on a stainless steel rack, then put it in the cold oven. Raise the temperature to 500°C (932°F) and bake for 15 minutes. Then place the piece on a fireproof surface and allow to cool.
- Place about 3 cm of activated charcoal in the bottom of a steel container. Arrange the parts, leaving a space of at least 1.5 cm between them, then fill the container with activated charcoal. Close the container and place it in an oven preheated to 820°C (1500°F). Let the oven reach the target temperature, then bake for 60 minutes.
- At the end of baking, let the piece cool in the oven, or carefully remove it to a heat-insulated surface to cool sufficiently.
