We don't just offer nearly 60,000 references of beads and components for trendy and original jewellery. Our primary objective is to ensure the conformity and intrinsic quality of our products while being transparent in order to satisfy our customers, preserve their health and guarantee their well-being.
Concerned about the origin of our products (mainly from Europe but also from China, India, Japan, Korea and the United States), we work with two types of suppliers:
Wholesalers who supply ephemeral and trendy products, available immediately.
Manufacturers to whom we can impose our quality criteria. In this case, we ourselves identify potential manufacturers (who meet our requirements and values) with whom we wish to collaborate.
This allows us to follow the manufacturing process from start to finish, so that we can work at the right price, with acceptable quantities, within a suitable production timeframe, and with a quality that meets many criteria, including REACH regulations and various standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
Our collaboration with suppliers/manufacturers is based on respect, trust, responsiveness in time, the ability to provide solutions, the ability to improve a product if requested and to manage complaints.
Perles & Co's priority is of course to source and work with the right manufacturer to provide you with the best customer experience.
We are attentive to the quality, safety and environmental impact of our products. This is why it is imperative that they comply with the legal regulatory framework in force.
REACH is a regulation adopted by the European Union, which concerns the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals. It was put in place to safeguard human health and the environment by limiting heavy metals that can be harmful to health and the environment.
A number of substances are listed: either they are banned or they are required not to exceed a threshold set by the regulation.
The REACH regulation concerns metals, but also leather and textiles.
REACH certification certificates for our products are available on request.
ISO standards have complicated names, which are sometimes difficult to remember, but which meet the requirements for product conformity and customer satisfaction.
SDSs (safety data sheets) are mandatory documents for chemical products. They contain data on the composition of a product such as glue, varnish, resin, paint, etc.
They show the different types of risks and dangers linked to the handling of a product containing a substance that is dangerous for humans and/or the environment.
These compulsory sheets allow us to control our products as well as possible in order to protect our customers. They are systematically present on all Perles & Co product sheets that require it.
We have set ourselves strict requirements to safeguard the health of our customers and ensure product compliance. How do we do this? By carrying out internal pre-tests on receipt of products using an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF) and a gemtester.
Pre-analyses are carried out internally to determine whether the product complies with REACH regulations using an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF). This device analyses the chemical composition on the surface of marketed products that come into contact with the skin. The aim is to detect whether harmful substances are present in these articles. The mass spectrometer will also detect and guarantee the percentage of precious metals in a product.
This device allows us to check whether we are dealing with a real natural stone or a product made of glass. In addition, if a product is dyed, imitated or reconstituted, this will be mentioned on the product sheet, again for the sake of transparency.
