What can I do with embossing metal?
Embossing metal sheets are perfect for creating personalized decorations. You can trace a silhouette, cut out your shape and then create relief. Once the pattern has been embossed, simply turn the shape over and accentuate the edges to create volume. To attach, simply use aluminium foil glue.
How do I work with embossing foil?
- Step 1: Provide yourself with a sheet of embossing foil, a rubber backing, a rigid backing, a pair of scissors, a plastic spatula and a decorating base.
- Step 2: Draw the outline of the support to be decorated on the sheet of metal to be embossed.
- Step 3: Using a chisel, cut out your shape following the outline you've drawn.
- Step 4: Place the rubber support on the rigid base, followed by the metal shape.
- Step 5: Using the spatula, draw the desired pattern, insisting for a more rounded effect.
- Step 6: Remove the rubber support and turn over the metal form. Use the spatula to accentuate the edges of the pattern.
- Step 7: Using a glue gun, stick the metal form to the surface to be decorated. Remember to protect your hands before attaching the glued metal form.
