Enhance your creations with this Kamenskaya Or Riche liquid gold leaf—an alcohol-based metallic paint that mimics the luster of real metal.
This liquid gilding contains natural metallic pigments that give it an opaque and uniform finish, distinct from a simple glitter or pearlescent effect. It forms a thin layer that conforms to the surface’s texture and dries quickly—usually within a few minutes, depending on the thickness of the application. Its liquid form makes it a convenient alternative to metal leaf in certain applications: there’s no need to apply adhesive and then handle very thin leaf. The brush built into the cap makes it particularly easy to work on small surfaces and details. Always apply it to a dry, degreased surface, then close the bottle carefully to prevent the product from drying out.
What can you do with Rich Gold gilding?
Use it to highlight the edge of a resin pendant or cabochon, add fine lines to a decorative object, enhance a ceramic piece, or give certain details of a frame a luxurious look. It can also be combined with alcohol-based inks or epoxy resin to create contrasts between transparency and metal.
Tips for use:
- Since it is alcohol-based, the paint dries quickly. Depending on the coat, this takes 5 to 15 minutes.
- Apply the paint to degreased, dry surfaces.
- Keep the cap closed; it must always be tightly screwed on to prevent the product from drying out.
- Gold, bronze, and copper gilding can be used in the same way as metallic inks.
After drying, protect your artwork with a special patina varnish or a suitable water-free acrylic spray varnish.
