Hasulith Nickel Test

Instructions for use:
The Hasulith nickel test consists of two bottles (Solution 1 and Solution 2).
To perform a test, place two drops of each solution on the same cotton bud.
Then apply the soaked cotton swab to the surface to be tested for approximately 1 minute. If the cotton bud turns red or pale pink, nickel has been released.
If, on the other hand, the color does not change, this indicates that, even if the metal tested contains nickel, it is not being released. This is particularly true of stainless steel, which by definition contains nickel, but which remains REACH-compliant as long as the nickel is not released.

To avoid false results, be sure to clean the surface thoroughly before testing. In addition, copper-containing components may cause a green to dark-brown reaction.
