This Soie d'Alger embroidery thread is a 7-strand assembly of moderate brilliance, made from schappe silk (combed silk).
It is perfect for all needlework applications, including traditional embroidery, counted stitch, cross-stitch, bobbin lace and miniature doll making.
Easy to split, it offers a multitude of applications in embroidery on canvas and silk gauze.

Tips and tricks for using Soie d'Alger® in hand embroidery:
Embroider with a maximum thread length of 45 cm to better control your work.
This also avoids excessive thread abrasion.
To multiply the effects and originality of your stitches and creations, you can combine one or more Alger® silk threads with, for example, Au Ver à Soie Au Sextant® metallic threads.
