Art clay Silver is composed of very fine silver powder, an organic binder and water.
Once dry, the shaped object can be fused with heat (650°C), removing the water and binder, leaving 99.9% pure silver.
The silver object can then be polished.
It's advisable to create simple models at first, but with a little practice, let your imagination run wild...
Tip: It's important to add water as you work with Art Clay Silver (ACS) because it dries very quickly.
Once dry, it becomes as hard as plaster and can be worked with file, cutter...

Easier to shape than "Original" and "Serie 650" products

Optimum finish and gloss quality
Kiln-firing:
1. Heat from room temperature up to 500°C (932°F) → 30 min. bearing
2. Raise to 870 °C (1598 °F) → 60 min step.
3. Turn off the oven and allow to cool to 200°C (392°F) before opening.
Total time approx. 3h depending on oven
Cooking with a blowtorch:
1. Place the piece on a refractory brick.
2. Direct the flame until the piece turns orange.
3. Maintain this color for 2-3 minutes.
Important tips
Always allow the piece to dry thoroughly before firing (otherwise it will crack).
Allow a minimum thickness of 1 mm (1.5-2 mm for rings).
After firing, the piece is 99.9% pure silver and can be polished, burnished, hammered, etc.
