What is gold filled?
Gold Filled is a process applied to a metal (often a brass base) that involves mechanically applying a layer of gold alloy with varying karat weights. The weight of the gold alloy accounts for 1/20 of the product’s total weight.
For those who are curious, we’ll explain the differences between Gold Filled and gold-plated so you can choose the material that’s right for you.
If you want to further slow down the oxidation process, you should handle these items with gloves and avoid contact with perfumes, skin oils, and lotions. You should also store them in a dry, temperate place.
