What is piping?
piping is a narrow, flat, braided and textured braid. Traditionally used to decorate clothing orlampshades, soutache is now experiencing a revival with the trend of textile jewelry and Bead Embroidery.
It can be made of different materials (viscose, cotton, wool, silk, polyester ...) and is applied with various techniques. Indeed, the soutache tape can be used in sewing, embroidery, jewelry, etc..
Tip : When you cut the piping, the end frays. Before cutting it, put a piece of tape and cut at that point.
